How paid registration will work
You set the registration fee
Set whatever price makes sense for your event — $20, $40, $75. You keep 100% of it.
Players pay at checkout
Players see your fee + the $3 LADR service fee at checkout. Stripe handles the payment securely. No surprise charges after the fact.
Funds deposit to your account
Your registration fees go straight to your connected Stripe account. Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee is deducted before the deposit.
How does $3 compare?
Many pickleball tournament platforms add a player-paid service fee on top of the organizer's registration price. PickleballTournaments lists a $5 amateur player service fee per event (capped at $10 per tournament registration). Swish lists a $5 tech fee added to each registration. LADR keeps it simple at $3 per paid registrant, with no monthly fee for organizers.
Pricing questions
- Will casual play stay free?
- Yes. LADR is free for casual play formats like social leagues, pod play, ladders, mixers, round robins, and free-entry events. Paid registration, advanced club features, and some integrations may have separate pricing.
- When does the $3 fee apply?
- Only when players pay to register through LADR checkout. If you run a free-entry event, a club night, or collect payment separately outside LADR, the $3 service fee does not apply.
- Can I collect payment outside LADR?
- Yes. If you run your event in LADR but collect payment via cash, Venmo, or another method outside the platform, the $3 service fee does not apply. LADR's paid registration is for organizers who want online checkout, Stripe payouts, and registration management built in.
- Is the $3 per player, per team, or per division?
- It's per paid registrant at checkout — the individual or team completing the registration. If a doubles team registers together as one checkout, that's $3 once.
- Do organizers pay anything upfront?
- No. There is no setup fee, monthly subscription, or percentage cut from your registration revenue. You only pay when players pay.
- Who pays the $3 service fee?
- Players pay it at checkout, added on top of whatever registration fee you set. You keep 100% of your registration price.
- What about Stripe payment processing fees?
- Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, deducted before the deposit to your connected Stripe account. You see the exact breakdown before you publish the event.
- Is DUPR submission included?
- DUPR result submission is in final testing and rolling out soon. When it launches it will be included at no extra cost, for paid and free events alike.
- Will prices change?
- We'll give at least 60 days notice before changing the per-registrant fee, and any change applies only to new events — never retroactively to events already published.
